I am thinking of pulling the tractor to break the engine loose.  What is your experience with this method?  Thanks.

We're discussing on OLD IHC whether the 304 needs a different belhousing from the 6's to fit to a T-98 4-speed tranny. Do you know? this may be my next step with my 60 B-120. Manfred

Have see and worked on some on those tractors on vancouver island. there is three different models I know of 624-724-824 built in Germany. They have D239 type engines, agro-matic trans. had forward and reverse shuttle and two speed power shift on one lever on right of dash depending on what position range lever is in. Interesting tractor still some in use around here.

The 200 I have had a fert attatchment on it and the serial number tag has been eaten away.  I want to get a new one from OEM, but I have to select the number.  My question is with the latest casting code date I can find being 2 2 B. ( Feb 2 1956)
What was the probable build date of this tractor, and where can I find monthly serial numbers?
Thanks...Darald

Well Bernie I did measure the emblem; 6.5 high and 5.5 wide, three bolts, but no resemblance to chrome at all. When I scratch the red paint it seems to be some kind of copper color under the paint.  I guess I've never seen a R model with anything quite like it.  I would be interested in the correct one for it and chrome.  I will be trying to get to Derwent on the 11 th...Darald

They used it mostly for cutting cord wood from the looks of it.  Most of the casing holes still have the corks in them?  No implements attached?  The rad looks like an easy fix...looks. Ha Ha  My big item will be to get the engine loose and then thy to get it running.  What oil should I use?  Would Rotella T be o.k.  Where can I order filters for the oil and other parts in edmonton?

The enlarged picture explains a lot.  I see it has had some field modifications.  What did the last owner use it for?

Yeah,...but,...I'd kinda like to keep the 3-speed. It may still fit. 304's are very good engines.  I know,.. I know,.. the 3-speed is a lighter tranny, but I don't intend on powering around in mud. I just want a good driver. I've had lots of guys shake their head at me. What??? I like three-on-a-tree. It's what I grew up with, and I,...well,...just like it! Undecided
